Revere Youth in Action

 After an unanticipated leadership transition, RYiA is facing challenges related to loss of institutional memory, isolation, and a lack of healing practices previously facilitated by the former Executive Director. The FOWH grant will support a retreat starting in December 2024, focusing on rest and healing through breathwork, Moroccan tea ceremonies, and energy work like Zero Balancing. This retreat will provide an opportunity for staff and contractors to reconnect, reflect, and rebuild the organization’s shared understanding of spirituality and healing justice. Additionally, the grant will help facilitate conversations about RYiA’s power-building model and assess how healing practices can be better integrated into their campaigns. Through these efforts, RYiA aims to heal, strategize for the future, and strengthen their community’s resilience.
