Emergent Action Network - April Gathering

ECM’s Emergent Action Network - April Online Gathering

Through our new Emergent Action Network, we aim to provide a hub for Episcopal Churches and people in MA combining accessible ways to take action, spiritual grounding and sustenance, and guidance from BIPOC-led grassroots initiatives leading the resistance. In the face of so many federal threats to our communities and to democracy itself, we need more than ever to truly lean into our faith and our larger faith community.

This month, in addition to our regular community-building and spiritual grounding, we’ll focus on state-level legislation in MA that has the potential to buffer against the harms coming down from the federal level. We’ll learn more about the Corporate Fair Share campaign which would generate funds for social services and safety nets by recouping the state-level part of tax dollars lost through multi-national corporations using off-shore tax havens. We’ll also check in about progress and new opportunities in immigrant justice organizing, which was the focus of our first gathering.
