Neighbor 2 Neighbor

The biggest challenge our organization faces is the struggle for work-life balance and the growing trend of burnout, compounded by capitalism and disconnection from the land. This disconnect affects our emotional and physical well-being, as working long hours on screens and in concrete environments takes a toll on our bodies. However, with support from Finding Our Way Home, we’ve made progress in prioritizing care, including executive coaching for leadership, which helped some staff recover from burnout and back pain. Moving forward, we aim to integrate healing, balance, and self-care practices for all staff, encouraging personal reflection and spiritual practices outside of work. We plan to continue creative and grounding activities, like opening circles and in-person meetings, which have been invaluable in fostering team connection and a culture of support.
