Chinese Progressive Association

Over the past eight years, CPA has been in constant struggle, moving from one campaign to the next. While this sharpened our political analysis and organizing skills, we lost sight of the joy in our work. This year, we will expand our staff retreat to include the steering committee and extend its length, allowing time to reflect, dream, and reimagine our mission. Following the retreat, we will close the office briefly to focus on integrating joy and healing into our organizing, exploring how to make our work more sustainable and fulfilling. Over the next six months, we will host 3-4 healing-centered activities and bring these lessons into our shared spaces, modeling practices of reflection, creativity, and care for our entire community.
